Osteoarthritis and Cartilage - Impact Factor Increases to 7.507! The Impact Factor for OAC has increased to 7.507, which places the journal second in the Orthopedics category (of 82) and sixth of 34 in Rheumatology. Congratulations to the editorial team! Notice: Effective with manuscripts submitted for publication on or after November 1, 2017, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage is instituting an accepted article fee. The corresponding author of an accepted manuscript will be emailed a link once the article has been accepted enabling them to make the payment of $US400 prior to receiving the page proof. [Note: the accepted article fee applies only to ACCEPTED manuscripts] A DOI number will be assigned when the funds have been received and the article has moved into production. Individual waiver requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be granted in cases of genuine need. Priority for this waiver program will be given to applications by authors from countries eligible for the Research4Life program. Open access article charges are still in effect but are inclusive of the accepted article fee. That is, authors opting for open access will not be asked to pay the accepted article fee. Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Open (Open Access)Based on its vision to be the preeminent voice and expert resource in OA research and its application worldwide through a thriving international network of passionate, purpose-driven and progressive leadership, OARSI recognized the need to establish Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Open, a scientific open access journal that publishes multidisciplinary findings from the clinical and basic sciences in all fields of research of relevance to osteoarthritis, cartilage, and intervertebral disc in the form of original articles, reviews and hypotheses. Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Open accepts experimental and clinical study protocols and manuscripts describing the large data sets obtained from experimental or clinical studies.
